Your Roadmap to Health

Over the course of six months, DaVita successfully screened more than 1,200 people for glucose, blood pressure, height/weight/waist measurement and body mass index (BMI), helping to identify potential risk factors for kidney disease.

After 53 stops, DaVita received countless remarks on the impact these screenings made on participant’s lives.

“I will definitely start to make changes in my life after my results today. Thank you for the screening and education."
– Participant from the California State Fair
"I am bringing my family with me today to have this done. We need to get checked because diabetes is in our family and it will be good to see where we are at."
– Participant from Alisal Union School District
“We were driving by and wanted to stop to see what you were doing. My family is here and they do not have any insurance so this will be very good for them. Thank you DaVita.”
– Participant from Bristol Warner Marketplace

Not only did these screenings help community members take control of their health, but it also allowed individuals, friends and families affected by kidney disease to be educated on the diagnosis, treatment options and pathway to sustaining a healthy support system.
